Michael Burgess Loves Paris Hilton’s Energy Plan

The half-assed “Drill Here, Drill Now” filibuster/hijacking of the House Chamber by disgruntled Congressional Republicans has, perhaps, had its dumbest moment to date thanks to Texas Congressman Michael Burgess (R-Flower Mound).
Burgess decided to take the floor to praise the “energy plan” of none other than Paris Hilton.
PoliTex has the story:
“Even Paris Hilton has a plan,” he said. “Let’s bring up the Paris Hilton plan.”
He’s only half-kidding. Burgess said the first part of her video, aimed at John McCain, is clearly a spoof but then “she stops and gives a serious discussion of energy.” “She discussed a hybrid plan” of drilling and conservation, said Burgess. “That’s the Republican Conference plan.”
I, for one, seriously doubt that Paris Hilton knows what the House Republican Conference is or that it even has an energy plan. For Burgess to cite the publicity stunt of a Hollywood skank in any way is beyond idiotic.
