TX SD 10: Brimer Dodges Debates And Has Fundraisers (But Not Balls)

Although he has consistently refused to debate former Fort Worth City Councilwoman Wendy Davis–and continues his judicial hijinks to try and boost her from the ballot–Brimer is doing his best to rake in dough for his re-election campaign.

His most recent fundraiser was this week. But, whatever fundraisers Brimer has in the future, don’t look for him to hold any balls…because Texas Monthly’s Evan Smith says he has none:

There’s a point at which one’s continued attempt to erect procedural roadblocks to a contested election is revealing of, you know, one’s total lack of stones.

Hilarious.

On a more serious note related to Brimer’s refused to debate (which could also be caused by that “lack of stones,” the medical term for which, I believe, is, “whiny pussy“), here is what Wendy Davis’s campaign had to say:

“Each and every time we have proposed giving voters in this district a chance to hear us both speak on the issues they care about, Kim Brimer has refused while referencing his unsuccessful antics in court. However, when it comes to mingling with donors and ensuring that he has enough funds in his campaign account to continue to fund his lavish lifestyle, he conveniently forgets his excuses for not campaigning. So Mr. Brimer, which is it?” said Davis campaign manager Matt Latham.

“Mr. Brimer believes that Wendy’s candidacy is enough to kick-off a campaign and to ask donors for money but not enough to warrant a discussion on the issues?” said Latham. “That mentality is precisely the reason that voters across Tarrant County are so hungry for a change in leadership.”
