More good news for Joe Jaworski’s campaign to replace Toxic Mike Jackson in the Texas Senate:
Galveston firefighters today announced their strong endorsement of Joe Jaworski for the Texas Senate, saying that the former Galveston Mayor Pro-Tem is the best choice for helping the area meet the public safety challenges of the future.
“Joe has worked with us for years on public safety and emergency preparation issues,” said Charles Olsen, president of Firefighters Local 571. “He has the energy, leadership, and vision Galveston needs to move forward.”
Firefighters Local 571 represents 125 professional firefighters in the city of Galveston.
In 2005, Jaworski worked with local firefighters and other first responders as Hurricane Rita approached and won praise for his role in that region’s emergency preparations and response to the devastating storm.
Jaworski has also been endorsed by the Galveston Municipal Police Association.
Great news for Jaworski’s campaign!
