Houston Chronicle Poll Asks If People Think Obama Is A Marxist
October 31, 2008 by Vince Leibowitz · Leave a Comment
Even if it was a Halloween joke, the Houston Chronicle’s Texans On The Potomac Blog Poll, “Do you think Barack Obama is a Marxist, Socialist Redistributionist?” is a pretty stupid thing to run on the last day of early voting–especially in a state where 23 percent of our population is stupid enough to believe Obama is a muslim.
I’m Up To My Ass In A Damned Campaign. And Obama People Are Falling From The Rafters.

Capitol Annex won’t be blogging today. We’re up to our ass in a damned campaign. And I’ve got Obama people falling from the rafters here at Annex HQ. One fell on top of me; I may need back surgery. Two more fell on my dog (he’s fine), and another landed on my desk (it really destroyed my nice blotter). There are still some up there (push cards are falling out of their pockets like rain), and the dogs are barking at them like crazy. I’ll have to get a broom and try to sweep them down and send them out blockwalking or something.
Oh, and will someone send Tony Goolsby over here to clean this mess up? Thanks!
[Seriously, we will be blogging, but couldn't resist making fun of Tony Goolsby.]

A nice ad from Railroad Commission candidate Mark Thompson (D-Hamilton). It marks a first for Capitol Annex, because it is the first time this blog has ever been mentioned in a political ad. We’re flattered.
For those of you following along at home and who collect useless political trivia, you’ll recall that we worked for Thompson’s opponent, Dale Henry, in the Democratic Primary. Of course, we’re supporting Mark Thompson next Tuesday.
