Larry Joe Doherty (D-Brenham) Tuesday surpassed the $1 million dollar fundraising mark in his bid to unseat Congressman Mike McCaul (R-Austin) in the race for Texas 10th Congressional District.
From a campaign press release:
“It is time told hold Washington accountable to the taxpayers who are hurting at the gas pump, in the grocery store and who are being asked to foot the bill for Wall Street’s failures,” said Doherty. “I will be an independent voice in Congress, and over 1,300 contributors have put their faith in this campaign which shows that the voters are going to elect someone who will fight for Main Street, instead of selling out to Wall Street.”
The race was also recently named an Emerging Race by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
