I’m Liveblogging From Sherrie Matula’s Campaign Headquarters

As promised, it is time to reveal exactly where I’ll be liveblogging from tonight: House District 129.

I am, at this very moment, in Martha Griffin’s office at Sherrie Matula’s campaign headquarters on Saturn in the Houston/Clear Lake area.

The atmosphere here is electric. The building is full of volunteers: there are people here preparing for last minute block walking, and the second floor call center is packed with volunteers making last-minute GOTV calls. We’ll be going up there in a few minutes and trying to do a webcast.

I’ve talked to Martha, the campaign manager, and several of the folks here at HQ. Everyone is excited. I cannot emphasize enough that the atmosphere is literally electric. There is an excitement in the air that I’ve not seen come out of a state house race in several cycles. The phone bankers sound excited, and the volunteers are hurridly preparing for their next assignments.

We’ll keep you posted!
