Hutchison Launches Exploratory Committee For 2010 Governor’s Race

U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison has filed paperwork with the Texas Ethics Commission appoint a campaign treasurer, thus officially launching an exploratory committee for a 2010 gubernatorial run.

Allan “Bud” Shivers Jr. of Austin was named as campaign treasurer.

While it is not an official declaration of candidacy, it does allow her to begin raising money for a gubernatorial run.
