Happy Holidays & The Return Of The Holiday Masthead

In 2006, the first full holiday season we were publishing Capitol Annex, we created what we thought was a cute holiday masthead. We never thought it had much of an impact on people.
Last year, however, as the holiday season dawned, we had a couple of readers email us and ask us if we were going to change the masthead or bring back the other holiday masthead.
Alas, we couldn’t. Why? Because we couldn’t find the 2006 Holiday Masthead.
We’re glad to report, however, that after an exhaustive search of the three computers we’ve used since 2006, that we have recovered the Capitol Annex Holiday Masthead and it is atop this blog and there it shall remain through the Christmas season.
We’ve decided to stay with the same masthead as we put up in 2006 because, quite frankly, we like it. We did have to resize it, however. Back in 2006 we were using a theme which had a much smaller “hole” for the masthead, and we had to make the old one wider to fit the current template.
So, enjoy this little holiday tradition from Capitol Annex.
