HD 32: Too Close To Call

November 7, 2006 by Vince Leibowitz · Leave a Comment

Assuming much of Galveston County remains out (70.13 percent of precincts reporting district wide), Gene Seaman has 48.54 percent to Democrat Juan Garcia’s 45.56 percent. It appears the Libertarian, Lenard L. Nelson, who holds 5.90 percent of the vote and has seriously overperformed if the SOS’s results are correct, may have cost Democrats this election.

With 15 percent of precincts reporting, Bonillia is barely under 50 percent with Ciro Rodriguez next in line with 21.57.

Remember that because this is a special election, if Bonillia is held under 50 percent, that means a December runoff.
