We knew State Rep.-elect Mark Shelton (R-Fort Worth), who defeated Dan Barrett in HD 97 was a Craddick supporter and would be a sure pledge for Craddick. And, we’d had strong suspicions about State Rep. Elect Angie Chen Button in HD 112. Those suspicions are now confirmed: Chen Button will vote for Craddick.

Will Hartnett (R-Dallas), a Craddick supporter, urged members not to participate in any media polls attempting to get a “headcount” in the Speaker’s race, and to “keep their powder dry.”
